Notes:
1. Bobby Heenan defeated Buck Zumhofe several times but
didn't get the belt because he
was over the weight limit.
2. Title vacated in July of 1986 when Buck Zumhofe
was sent to prison.
3. Jim Backlund was recognized as the sixth champion by
FMW in Japan, but not in the AWA. He may have defeated
Mike Graham for the title.
4. Title vacated in September of 1990 when Lee Gak-Soo quit FMW.
Buck Zumhofe was recognized
as champion by the AWA after
defeating Jonnie Stewart on August 11, 1990 in
Rochester, Minnesota, but the title was abandoned when the
AWA folded in 1991.
5. Katsuji Ueda defeated Jim Backlund for title.
6. Title renamed the WWA World
Martial Arts Junior Heavyweight
Title in April of 1992. Dr. Luther lost the title to Katsuji
Ueda on September 7, 1992 in Saitama, Japan. The title was
then abandoned in 1993.
